William ("we", "our", "the extension") is built by Peetu Inc. This policy explains how the William Chrome Extension handles your data.

The short version: All your data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data with any server, third party, or cloud service. Period.

What Data We Access

The William Chrome Extension accesses the following information from your browser:

Tab information: The URL and title of websites you visit, along with the time of visit.

Browsing history: A summary of recently visited websites to help William understand your browsing patterns over time.

How Data Is Used

All accessed data is sent exclusively to the William desktop application running on your own computer at localhost (127.0.0.1:11435). This is a local connection that never leaves your device.

The William desktop app uses this data to:

— Understand your daily browsing patterns (e.g., work vs. leisure)

— Provide personalized emotional and behavioral insights

— Detect stress indicators such as excessive screen time or doomscrolling

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device in the William desktop application's data directory. No data is stored in the cloud. No data is stored on any remote server. No data is transmitted over the internet.

Data Sharing

We do not share any user data with any third parties. We do not sell user data. We do not use user data for advertising. We do not transmit user data to any external service, analytics platform, or server of any kind.

Data Collection by Peetu Inc.

Peetu Inc. does not collect any data from the William Chrome Extension. We have no servers that receive extension data. We have no analytics. We have no tracking. We cannot see your browsing history, and we do not want to.

Permissions Explained

tabs: Used to detect which website you are currently viewing so William can provide contextual insights about your browsing behavior.

history: Used to analyze browsing patterns over time (e.g., how much time is spent on social media vs. work tools) to provide behavioral insights.

Host permission (127.0.0.1:11435): Used exclusively to communicate with the William desktop application running locally on your computer. This address cannot reach any external server.

Children's Privacy

William is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
